Speech Language Pathologist

A great school district near Chesapeake City, Maryland has a full-time opening for a Speech Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. The therapist will work a schedule of 35-37. 5 hours a week providing speech-related services to an elementary school caseload. The specific caseload details and site assignment will be discussed on the initial interview with the special education director for the district. Chesapeake City is in northeastern Maryland right near the Delaware and Pennsylvania borders. It is a great location for an SLP that wants to experience coastal living in the bay area. The town and surrounding cities are very quaint and beautiful, and the director will be sure to sell you on the district and the area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide services to an elementary school caseload of 40-50 students.
  • Treat a wide range of cognitive and genetic disabilities that may include Autism, Downs Syndrome, traumatic brain injuries, and other language and articulation disorders.
  • Preform assessments, screening, group therapy, and other speech and language-related services.
  • Attend IEP meetings, write progress notes, and keep track of progress and goals for students on caseload.
  • Collaborate with other therapists and pupil services teachers on progress notes and treatment plans
  • Requirements:

  • ASHA-CCCs or working as a Clinical Fellow
  • Maryland Speech Language Pathologist License
  • One year of school-based SLP experience
  • Hours: Monday- Friday 8:00am- 3:30pm

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
